Dark (and trendy) views of end times have overshadowed, I suspect, the reality that God's return is already begun, and that he has an undercover throng of peacemakers bringing light into their neighborhoods, nations, and world-views every day. As in <i>The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe,</i> the thaw has begun: the witch's power is broken; Aslan is in the land. Imagine! I heard the bells is one of my favorites, too! I think that most of my signs of celebrating Christmas are cultural, reflecting my family history, more than religious. Glad to know I'm not the only one pondering this.
