Hi Julie, My dad Walt, did business with your grandfather and his brother back in the 70's. We were talking about them on the phone tonight and my dad wondered whether Stormy was still living so I Googled his name and found your site. I will copy it and send it to my father because he doesn't do the internet....the conversation came up because my nephew, my dad's grandson, Garrett Krstich is going to attend SMU and play football for them. He is going on an academic scholarship but, will walk on and hopes to play quarterback.
I'm sorry to read about your grandfather and your Uncle Tiny....I met them both several times and was amused and impressed with their wonderful stories and memories. It is helpful to have good memories of those we've loved when they are gone.
My best wishes to you and your family,
Nancy Krstich Westphale

Julie, so sorry for your loss. Back in the '60s, as a young official, I had opportunity to officiate high school games with your dad in the Dallas and North Texas area.
Stormy was a great guy and an excellent high school and Southwest Conference official. Stormy and his friend, Bob Finley, took me under their wings and taught me how to become a good official, and I will be forever grateful. I had the honor of working the 1968 Texas High School Championship game with your grandfather at TCU stadium in Fort Worth.... Abilene Cooper vs Austin Reagan, a wonderful experience.
May God bless Roland 'Stormy' Goss

julie~
how wonderful that you had a rich heritage with your grandparents as you grew up... that you can still remember those stories... that they're part of you and your story.
i will pray that as your family gathers in dallas, you will tell stories to each other about this great man, and remember him as he really was.
