U2 for Babies
2008 August 1
I found this amusing. When Emma was a baby one of the few things that calmed her was listening to U2 music. That probably had something to do with the fact that I was listening to the How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb album nonstop around the time she was born. I guess I need to play more music these days to get Aidan hooked as well.

I knew I loved you, your a fellow U2 junkie.
I still listen to How to Dismantle the Atomic Bomb, love the song Yahweh, Kite, and Crumbs From Your Table the best. When I start having kids, I think I am going to start them on U2 right in the womb. I can put headphones around my belly.
One of my former bandmates and his wife just had their first baby – he was THE voice of Bono in our old band in Tucson – and we sent them this CD as a gift. It is is a blessing and I am delighted to see you using it, too. Rock on, friend. My blog site takes its name from the Rattle and Hum time: http://rj-whenlovecomestotown.blogspot.com/
When my babies were small we were dancing to Springsteen, Joan Armatrading and the Clash.
heh … we always went with the idea that our kids should listen to our music. So …they listened to U2!!
My son was a screamer when he was a baby. The only thing that quieted him down was the theme music to Law & Order. So he'd be quiet for about two minutes … and as soon as it was done, he'd go back to screaming again.
